TACSO Office in Albania, following the kick-off event that took place in Tirana with more than 140 participants from the civil society sector all over Albania on the 18th of February, has currently initiated a series of three-day training sessions in all 12 regions of Albania, starting with Gjirokastra on the 24th of February. The training is providing assistance to CSOs on how to successfully prepare project proposals in the framework of IPA Funding launched by the EU Delegation to Albania as well as on Project implementation, monitoring and reporting combined with direct coaching on completing the logframe matrix and project proposal drafting. In addition, the TACSO office in Albania is functioning as a Help Desk point and day to day service provider for the needs of CSOs.
Project Team
Mr. Genci Pasko - Albania Resident Advisor
Mr. Genci Pasko graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Tirana University and received his postgraduate diploma in Computer Analysis and Programming.
During the year 1999, Mr. Pasko received a four month intensive training program on NGO Management, Strategic Planning, Leadership and Media and Public Relations training from ORT/USAID.
Joining the Albanian National Training and Technical Assistance Resource Centre (ANTTARC) in 1998, Mr. Pasko has performed in the capacity as a consultant, trainer and expert. He has provided numerous training programs and consultancy services to an enormous number of NGOs, CSOs and Public Administration Institutions on Organisational Development, Management of Change, Project Cycle Management, Leadership and Coaching, Public and Media Relations, Advocacy, Lobbying and Networking, Sustainability, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, etc.
Mr. Pasko has a track record of working for small grassroots organisations, sometimes focusing on marginalized and disadvantage people, larger NGOs, international NGOs and donor organisations. Mr. Pasko’s training is often combined with on-site Technical Assistance (TA) for individual adjustment and organisational development/change.
During his consultancy career, Mr. Pasko has acquired in-depth knowledge and experience in more theoretic issues, such as, needs assessments and impact assessments.
He is currently involved in EC funded projects aiming to strengthen CSOs’ sustainability and increasing their capacities to manage their development programmes. He has a vast experience with the implementation of CSO related projects. His broad experience with the above topics has resulted in numerous joint undertakings with USAID, UNDP, EC, NOVIB, SDC, International NGOs and other UN agencies not only in Albania, but also in other countries in the region, Kosovo, Montenegro and East Timor.
Alda Duraj Dekovi – Project Officer
Alda Duraj Dekovi is working as the Project Officer of the TACSO project in Albania. She has a Masters Degree in European Studies and has been working for more than 10 years in the NGO sector on capacity building and assisting NGOs in applying for EU funding all over Albania through various projects as well as report writing and assessments. As an added value, she has eight years of experience as the manager of the EU Information Centre in Tirana, and as the key expert in the EU funded project ‘Cross Border Institution Building’ providing expertise working in an international environment and a regional project.
Within the TACSO project, she is responsible for managing the daily activities of the project in the national office with the help desk and also on the communication (newsletter, Web site, information to NGOs on various issues both to assist with regard to IPA funding, but also EU relations) and public relations with the media and the relevant CSO stakeholders and preparation for the activities organised from the office.
Ornela Xhera – Administrative and Financial Assistant
Ornela Xhera is working as the Administrative and Financial Assistant on the TACSO project. Her duties comprise financial project accounting and follow-up, liquidity forecasting, monthly reporting, administrative support for the organisation of activities, translation of materials and other duties regarding the assistance in public relations and communication. She has obtained a diploma from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, English being her major, and has had extensive experience in financial management and administrative assistance, both as a trainer and applied in various projects such as preparing financial and narrative reports, newsletters, bookkeeping, translating and preparing informational leaflets, posters, presentations, books and other training materials, organising fundraising events and coordinating training activities.
