Mission Statement

Institute for Research and European Studies (IRES) - Bitola, founded in November 2013, is non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profitable and secular think-tank determined to achieve applied, policy-oriented research which will enable various models of informal education, and will promote discussion on the most pressing and contemporary political, legal, security and economic issues regarding the Balkan, European and International Affairs.

Activities Description

IRES goal is to work on the improvement of the democratic processes in Macedonia and on the development of the political culture of the citizens, mostly through implementation of scientific and research projects, organizing lectures, debates and conferences as well as through its publishing work. Our team of experts are insisting on the principles of scientific objectivity in defining the present conditions and constructive positive approach to the problems we are trying to solve.

Effective Networking, Advocacy
A Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Programme for Effective Networking and Advocacy was designed by the TACSO Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Office as a response to the multiple challenges in networks’ work as identified during the implementation of TACSO 2. The programme began in February 2017 and was implemented in partnership with the Resource Centre in BiH, TACSO by VESTA.
